The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the Commission on Disabilities have selected The Jeffrey Foundation’s Founder and President, Alyce Morris Winston, as one of the award recipients at their 20th Annual Access Awards Luncheon. Ms. Winston has been selected from the 2nd District which is represented by the Honorable Mark Ridley-Thomas. The Luncheon will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. in the Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens, in Downtown Los Angeles.
For the past nineteen years, the Commission has recognized individuals who have shown exceptional dedication, leadership and advocacy on behalf of people with disabilities. Ms. Winston is being saluted for being among a group of unique individuals that has contributed vastly towards improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.
The Jeffrey Foundation is a non-profit organization that strives to improve the quality of life for special needs children and their families through the development of community-based therapeutic, recreational, educational, and social programs. We are currently celebrating our 40th year in Los Angeles.
Luncheon tickets are $65 per person or $550 for a table of eight.
